Karen Murphy, APRN, FNP-BC, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of nursing experience caring for patients across a variety of healthcare settings. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Trinity Valley Community College in 2010 and began her nursing career in medical-surgical nursing at Parkland Hospital. Throughout her career, she has also worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and in the Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Clinic at Children’s Health, gaining extensive experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients.
In 2018, Karen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University. Driven by her passion to further serve her patients and expand her role in healthcare, she continued her education and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2022.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Karen has worked in allergy and immunology, long-term care, and currently serves patients at Winnsboro Health Services. She is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and building lasting relationships with the individuals and families she serves.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband of 33 years and their two children, Dawson and Karlee. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, reading, and listening to audiobooks during her commute.
